We're here to make y'er first label purchase as smooth as a sea breeze, matey! Follow this guide on creating a single label, and you'll be set to sail β΅
Click the Create a Single Label button on your Ship page
Create a Single Label: To start, click the "Create a Single Label" icon at the top of your Ship page.
You can also hover over the "Ship" icon on your left-hand dashboard, then click "Single" when the pop-up window appears.
Fill out the Ship To and Ship From information
Recipient information: In the "Ship To" field on the next page, enter your recipient's name and address. Here's how that section looks:
We recommend entering your recipient's email address in the "Email" field π© This way, your recipients receive Pirate Ship's tracking emails telling them their shipments are on their way!
Sender information: Next, enter your name and physical address in the "Ship From" field:
Your Ship From Address is the origin location Pirate Ship uses to calculate your postage costs. By default, this will also be designated as the Return Address on your labels.
Use a different Return Address: If you un-check the box that says "Use this address as the Return Address on my shipping labels," you can specify a different Return Address where any returned packages will be sent back.
That Return Address will be the address that appears on your label, but your postage will still be calculated using your Ship From Address π
Enter your package information
Package info: The next section is where you specify your shipment's packaging type, weight, and dimensions. Be as accurate as possible when measuring and entering your dimensions and weight. You can even enter decimal points here π
If you click the Type of Packaging drop-down, you can select the specific packaging you're using (for instance, a cardboard box or a poly mailer with only two dimensions).

Consider adding Insurance and Extra Services
Insurance
Add insurance to your shipment: Selecting the "Insurance" checkbox will add coverage by InsureShield to your package:
InsureShield provides greater coverage: All UPS labels on Pirate Ship automatically include $100 of carrier liability, and all USPS services except for Media Mail come with $100 of USPS insurance. However, InsureShield allows you to purchase coverage for far greater amounts.
With InsureShield, you can declare a value of up to $10,000 per UPS shipment, and up to $5,000 per USPS shipment π€
Pro Pirate Tip: Adding InsureShield coverage is one of the smARRrrrtest investments a pirate can make! InsureShield costs $1 for every $100 of declared value, and you're fully protected in case your package gets lost or arrives with damaged contents. This way, you'll never be caught with two eyepatches on π
