Tracking Emails: Can I customize my tracking emails?

Can I white-label my tracking emails to make them fully customizable?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Head to Settings > Tracking Emails > Edit to customize your Tracking Emails.

  • Customize tracking emails with HTML: Tracking emails are 100% customizable with HTML. You can customize the sender name and email address, and also add DKIM records if you have your own domain, so everything comes from you!Β

    • Working without HTML: If you're not an HTML wizard, no worries! The body text is fully flexible and can say anything you'd like.

How to use dynamic variables to give your customers key info

  • Using dynamic variables: Our default tracking email template includes dynamic variables that pull in key information such as your recipient's first name, the tracking number, the Ship Date, and the Shipping Service.

    • If you like, you can play around with these variables to customize your tracking emails however you like πŸ‘

    • Here's how those dynamic variables appear in your Settings > Tracking Emails:

  • Customizing emails with dynamic variables: If you want to switch things up in your email, simply keep the entire variable intact as you see in blue above the edit field, as well as the HTML.

    • For example, if you want to start the email with "Ahoy" instead of "Dear," then you can edit that first line in the screenshot above to look like this:

    • <font face="arial">Ahoy [Recipient First Name],<br><be>

Subject lines are also customizable

  • Edit the subject line how you like: On top of the email itself, you can also edit the subject line to say anything you like! Simply type in what you'd like to say in the "Subject" text field. The more creative, the better πŸ˜‰

Adding emojis into tracking emails

  • Emojis can complicate the template: Emojis will look fine when you first enter them, but they will cause the text to break, and nothing after the emoji will show up in your email πŸ™ˆ This is because you need to add a specific reference code for the emoji instead of simply typing in the emoji itself.

  • How to add emojis: Here's how to properly add emojis to the tracking email template:

    • Step one: Get either the decimal or hexadecimal reference for your desired emoji from a table like this one. For example, the decimal reference for πŸ‘‹ is #128075.

    • Step two: Make sure the group of text that includes the emoji is grouped by something in the HTML, in this case <p> and </p>, and put the reference where you want the emoji. Here's how that looks:

  • All done, that example will look like this:

Can I get copies of the tracking emails I send?
