You can log in to Pirate Ship with your Google account instead of typing in your email and password
Logging in with Google: If you'd like to skip entering your email address and password when you log in to Pirate Ship, you can log in with your Google account π
Here's where to find that on your login page:
How to enable Google logins
To log in with Google, you need to meet the following two guidelines:
Your Google email address must be exactly the same as the email you used to sign up for Pirate Ship
If your Google email doesn't 100% match or you accidentally mistype something, you'll receive an error message that the login has failed
For example, if the email address we have on file is "jollyroger@pirateship.com," entering "jolly.roger@pirateship.com" won't work. While Google might consider those emails similar, you won't be able to log in to Pirate Ship because they aren't an exact match π
Allow Google to share your name and email address with us
If you don't allow these permissions, you'll receive an error message when you attempt to log in π
How does Two-Factor Authentication work with my Google account?
If you only have "New Login Verification" enabled: If you only have "New Login Verification" enabled in your Account Settings, you'll be logged into Pirate Ship immediately after a successful Google authentication π
If you have Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) enabled: If you have either "Email Verification" or the "Authentication App" enabled in your Account Settings as a 2FA method, you'll still need to go through the 2FA process to log in after you successfully authenticate your Google account π
