Connect your Square account to Pirate Ship

  • Import unshipped Square orders to Pirate Ship: Pirate Ship will connect with your Square account, matey! Getting connected is so easy, a one-eyed landlubber could do it 😉 Just follow the steps in this quick video to get connected:

How to import your Square orders

  • Importing YARRrrr orders: When you click Create New Shipment > Import after you've connected to Square, you’ll see all of the orders in your store that have the status New and In Progress. You can also click the "Import from Integrations" button at the top of your Ship page to access your Import Grid 👍

    • Pirate Ship will refresh the data periodically, but make sure to click the Refresh Data button to make sure you’re always looking at the most current order list.

  • Filter columns in YARrrr Import Grid: You can click any of the columns to filter or sort the data to group and select which orders you would like to create shipments for.

Customize your Square integration settings

In your Settings > Integrations > Square page, you can adjust several settings:

  • Financial Statuses: By default, Pirate Ship imports orders with the financial status “Paid.” You can choose other financial statuses to import, such as "Partially Paid" or "Not Paid."

  • Fulfillment Locations: You can choose which fulfillment location you'd like to import your orders from. For instance, you can designate a separate fulfillment location for all your online orders to import them into Pirate Ship. That way, physical orders from any brick and mortar locations won’t get mixed in 👌

  • Tracking Emails: You can also enable Pirate Ship's tracking emails for your Square orders. These emails are fully customizable and can be scheduled whenever you'd like to send them.

    • Note: Square will automatically send its own tracking emails unless you turn them off in Square's Settings. If you enable Pirate Ship's tracking emails, we recommend disabling Square's so your recipients don't receive two tracking emails.

Pirate Ship splits orders that require multiple fulfillments

  • Orders with different fulfillments: If a Square order contains items that require multiple fulfillments, Pirate Ship will split those items into separate orders in your Import Grid.

    • Square technically recognizes these orders as containing items that need to be fulfilled separately 🙈 You can either fulfill split orders individually or manually add weight into one of the orders and choose to “Ignore” the other order in your Import Grid.
