Shipping to a The UPS Store® location on Pirate Ship is not recommended
While there's technically nothing stopping you from shipping directly to a The UPS Store location, we don't recommend using Pirate Ship to buy labels for these sorts of shipments 🙈 Here are the main reasons why:
Rejected Packages: We've seen UPS reject packages shipped directly to a The UPS Store location.
Insurance Claims Complications: You'll run into issues with insurance claims for higher-value items
UPS won't sign an affidavit that our third-party insurance company requires for missing package claims, so if your high-value item goes missing, your claim will likely be denied even if you insured it properly
What about shipping to a UPS pickup point?
Shipping to a UPS Pickup Point: There's technically no way to address a package to a UPS pickup point like how you can with General Delivery for USPS, so you can't ship to these locations, anyway 😉
A workaround to consider
Redirect a Package to Will Call: One thing to keep in mind is that it's free to redirect a package to Will Call with UPS (aka holding your package at a UPS location)...but the package still has to be addressed to a recipient or home address when you send it.
For more information on how to hold a package at will call, check out this article on intercepting and returning packages.
Reroute to a UPS Access Point®: To have the shipment routed to a local UPS Access Point® location, chat with our Support Crew 🙌
However, you should be aware that UPS doesn't allow us to choose which UPS Access Point location the shipment is sent to.
