Learn about our email verification process that helps keep your Pirate Ship account secure

Updated over a week ago

If you receive an email asking you to verify your email address, don't fret Matey! This account verification is a legitimate request from Pirate Ship.

Verifying your email address helps keep your account secure & ensures that you receive important updates

There are two main reasons why Pirate Ship is asking you to verify your email address:

  • Securing Your Account: Verifying that your email address is current helps our security team ensure that your account stays safe and protected 🔒

  • Ensuring Communication: Verifying that your email address is correct and current guarantees that you'll always receive important updates about your account and our platform.

You only need to verify your email once

  • One-Time Verification: Pirate Ship asking to verify the email address associated with your account is a one-time thing 🙌

    • You won't be prompted to verify your email again unless you change your email address in your Account Settings.

  • Verification Links Expire: While you only need to verify your email address once, the verification link may expire if you don't click it in time.

    • If your verification link expires, we will send you a new one the next time you sign in and start a new session 👍

    • You will also see a banner message at the top of the Pirate Ship website letting you know we sent you the message.
