As of October 21, 2024, Etsy doesn't allow new Pirate Ship connections
No New Etsy Connections: On October 21, 2024, Etsy stopped allowing connections with third-party shipping software like Pirate Ship.
Connecting Etsy with Limited Functionality: You can still integrate your Etsy shop after October 21, 2024, but the integration will have limited functionality. You won't be able to:
Access your orders' shipping addresses
Submit tracking numbers back to Etsy
Mark items as shipped automatically
Old Etsy Connections Should Work Normally: According to Etsy, any connections made before October 21, 2024, should continue working as usual. If you integrated your Etsy store before then, your shipping data will still be automatically imported to Pirate Ship and exported back to Etsy once you buy labels 👍

How can I still use Pirate Ship for my Etsy orders?
Use Our Paste Address Feature: If you're unable to import orders through our Etsy integration, we recommend that you copy/paste addresses into Pirate Ship as a workaround. Learn more about how our Paste Address feature works in this article.
Once you buy labels on Pirate Ship for your orders, you must copy the tracking number and paste it back into Etsy to mark your order as “Shipped.”

Old Connections Only: All the information below this point applies only to Etsy connections made before October 21, 2024.
Adjusting your Etsy integration settings
Customize YARrrr Connection: When you navigate to Settings > Integrations > Etsy, you can:
Rename the Connection: This can be helpful if you want to connect multiple shops.
Enable Tracking Emails: Turn on Pirate Ship's fully customizable tracking emails (note: Etsy does not let you turn off their shipping notification emails, so if you enable Pirate Ship's emails your customers will receive two emails).
Disable Automatic Refresh: This can be helpful if you have hundreds of open orders in your Etsy shop.
Edit Field Mapping: Doing this will let you add custom reference information to be printed on the corner of your shipping labels, such as an Order ID or Batch Name.
Refunding a label for an Etsy order in Pirate Ship
Refunding a Label for an Imported Order: When you purchase a label for an Etsy order using Pirate Ship, if you refund that label because of a mistake or because the customer doesn't want the order anymore, the order will appear new/unshipped in Pirate Ship's Import page again.
However, Etsy's dashboard has a bug where it will not be displayed in the "New" tab on their Orders & Shipping page, and you may need to use Etsy's "Search your orders" search box to find the order in Etsy.
Pirate Ship doesn't display live rates to your customers
We Don't Display Shipping Rates on Etsy: Pirate Ship never displays live rates to your customers. What you charge for shipping is up to you!
