You can use a regular printer or a label printer to print labels on Pirate Ship

When you purchase labels on Pirate Ship, you can print them with either a regular desktop printer or a label printer in the 4x6" or 2x7" sizes. This article contains resources for setting up your printer to work with Pirate Ship, depending on the type you're using.

Using a regular desktop printer?

  • Guide for Desktop Printers: If you're using a normal inkjet or laser printer that prints on 8.5x11" letter-sized paper, this guide is the one for you:


Using a 2x7" thermal label printer?

  • Guide for 2x7" Label Printers: If you've got a small label printer like a Brother QL-800 or a Dymo 450, this guide is the one for you:

  • You Can't Print 2x7" UPS Labels: Unfortunately, you can only print USPS labels in the 2x7" sizes, since UPS labels on Pirate Ship only come in the standard 4x6" size 😅

    • If you have 2x7" selected in your General Settings, UPS services won't show up when you create your label and click the green "Get Rates" button.
